Moving Forward with All About Solo, a Letter from the Editor-in-Chief

Dear Readers, All About Solo has had the privilege to feature solo performances and artists from all over the globe in some of the most reputable venues in the theatre industry. To date, we have published over 300 articles in the form of reviews, interviews, previews and news articles, as well as columns on our platform. Our mission to be inclusive, pluralistic, and authentic shines through in our writing, and I have been immensely proud to serve as Editor‑in‑Chief of this organization since its inception. All About Solo has had the opportunity to collaborate with some incredible theatres and theatre organizations over the last two years, one of them being the United Solo Theatre Festival, the largest solo theatre festival in the world! It is with gratitude that I announce that I will be stepping down from my role as Editor‑in‑Chief of All About Solo to serve as United Solo’s new Associate Artistic Director. While I look at my time with All About Solo fondly, I look forward to this new opportunity to serve the solo theatre community. James Bartholomew, one of our writers who has contributed everything from reviews of shows, to interviews with artists, and insightful columns on our platform, will be stepping in as the new Editor‑in‑Chief of All About Solo beginning December 2019. James comes from a wealth of experience, not only in theatre journalism, but also in theatre administration. I feel great peace in knowing that All About Solo will be left in good hands as James works on bringing All About Solo to the next level. It has been an honor serving as your Editor‑in‑Chief. All About Solo will continue to support and celebrate solo performers and the work that they perform, write, direct, and produce. It’s with great confidence that I say that I will remain all about solo. I know, with All About Solo, I will always find a home.
